Ski levels:
Total beginner: I have never tried skiing
Beginner:I manage to maintain the snowplough position and ski on the blue slopes where I turn at low speed; I still have difficulty going down the red slopes. The instructor said that my skills correspond to level 1 or 2 of the technical text “Sci italiano 2018”.
Intermediate: I am happy skiing parallel on most slopes, but sometimes I struggle on steeps (black runs) or icy snow. The instructor said that my skills correspond to level 3 or 4 of the technical text “Sci italiano 2018”..
Advanced I am an experienced skier, able to ride any slope and snow conditions. I am good at skiing off-piste too. The instructor said that my skills correspond to level 5 or 6 of the technical text “Sci italiano 2018”.
Snowboard levels:
Total beginner: I have never tried snowboarding
Beginner: I am able to do basic turns in both directions, heelside and toeside, on blue runs. I still have difficulty going down the red slopes. I also tried to do some small jumps on the moguls. The instructor said that my skills correspond to level 1 of the technical text "Snowboard 2015".
Intermediate: I am happy linking turns on most runs both consistently and confidently although sometimes coming into difficulty on steeps (black slope) or challenging snow conditions. I learnt a few tricks in the snowpark and tried to go off-piste.
The instructor said that my skills correspond to level 2 of the technical text "Snowboard 2015".
Advanced: I am an experienced snowboarder, competent riding the whole mountain, in almost all snow conditions and terrain types. I master the basic tricks in the snowpark and I am quite confident riding off-piste. The instructor said that my skills correspond to level 3 of the technical text "Snowboard 2015".
